National Women’s Day: Future-Ready Women

In a country on the cusp of digital transformation, championing women’s leadership is more than a statement, it’s a movement. CelcomDigi set out to lead this charge, placing purpose and progress at the heart of National Women’s Day, with our team helping shape the communications narrative around women’s leadership and Malaysia’s digital future.

Challenge

National Women’s Day often risks becoming a ceremonial affair, detached from the real challenges and opportunities facing women leaders. The task was to create a platform that genuinely connected women’s leadership, policy, and Malaysia’s digital ambitions—while building a strong media narrative that could move the conversation beyond tokenism and generate meaningful public interest.

Solution

Our team worked with CelcomDigi to shape the PR strategy and communications narrative around the initiative, positioning “Future-Ready Women” at the intersection of leadership, policy, and digital transformation.

CelcomDigi, in partnership with the Women Leadership Foundation, orchestrated a half-day leadership programme that blended inspiration with action. The event featured a keynote from a government minister, a dynamic power session, and a panel discussion that brought together voices from across sectors. Attendees explored the future at CelcomDigi’s AI Experience Centre, making digital innovation tangible.

What set the day apart was the spotlight on CelcomDigi’s own women employees. Instead of a traditional CEO address, Albern Murty invited women from within the company to share their personal journeys on stage. This authentic approach, alongside insights from Minister YB Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri and former Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun binti Tuan Mat, created a space where policy, leadership, and lived experience converged.

Through strategic media engagement and amplification, our team helped translate these moments into a broader story around women’s leadership and Malaysia’s digital future.

Impact

The PR campaign achieved significant visibility, generating 61 media stories, including 31 in top-tier outlets, reaching an estimated audience of 8.9 million and delivering RM5.7 million in PR value across digital, print, broadcast, and social platforms.
